Teach Us Consent campaign has been made possible by the support of countless volunteers.

Through funding, we will be able to expand Teach Us Consent to achieve:

1. Educational Reform

For earlier and more holistic consent education to be included in Australia's school curriculum nation-wide.

2. Early Intervention

Updates to the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) curriculum to ensure teachers are transformative actors.

3. Media & Advocacy

Cross-media campaigns to lobby the Australian Government and raise awareness to the prevalence of rape culture across Australia.

4. Build Partnerships

Cross-sector operational partnerships for program implementation with NGOs, Government, education institutions and the private sector.

Teach Us Consent was founded to expose the prevalence of peer-on-peer sexual abuse in Australian schools and demand better for the next generation of Australians.

"In February 2021, I posted an Instagram story asking my followers if they or someone close to them had been sexually assaulted by someone who went to a single-sex school in Sydney. Within 24 hours, 200 people replied ‘yes’. Since then, over 6,600 people have detailed their stories of sexual assault on teachusconsent.com, and over 43,000 Australians have signed the petition for consent to be included in Australian schools' sex education earlier."

- Chanel Contos, Founder of Teach Us Consent

Teach Us Consent is an Australian not-for-profit with the vision of demolishing rape culture in Australia. As a result of our advocacy, consent education has been made mandatory in both QLD and VIC, and we have triggered a debate in NSW Parliament on the topic. We are now on the cusp of influencing the national education curriculum to mandate holistic and age-appropriate consent education.

We want an Australia where healthy attitudes towards consent prevent sexual assault and promote positive intimacy

With the deadline for a scheduled five-year review of Australia’s school curriculum approaching in just three months, we have limited time to begin implementing our advocacy campaign to improve Australia's curriculum permanently.

Together we will work towards ending the epidemic of unconscious peer-on-peer sexual assault in young Australians.

Sexual assault has become a norm for early sexual experiences. We believe that this is preventable.
